Performance Management & Reforms Unit (PMRU) was established in January 2016 in office of the Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to introduce reforms in the government processes through innovation and e-governance that ultimately improve public service delivery, and develop tools for performance management of all tiers of the government.
The unit spearheaded several key reforms initiatives that have been implemented across the province by all departments and district administrations.
For long-term sustainability of reforms, there is need for constant re-enforcement and rigorous follow-ups. The primary objective of PMRU is to ensure that all reforms and performance management tools are fully embodied in the government structure.
Ensure effective service delivery to the citizens
Coordinate and oversee implementation of sectoral reforms in government departments, their attached departments and allied institutions
Undertake performance management through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of all tiers of provincial government
Promote e-governance and use of latest Information Communication Technology (ICT) in government
To draft Policies, SOPs for various sectors
Serve as a focal point for all offices and institutions of the government of KP
Prepare regular briefs for the consumption of Chief Secretary, KP
