e-PSB The Provincial Selection Board

The Provincial Selection Board is constituted by Government for the purpose of selecting government employees and civil servants for promotions and relevant appointments. The PSB wing has a rigorous responsibility of extracting meaningful results and making decisions on the basis of ACRs, relevant seniority lists and remarks. To facilitate the channel of this process, e-PSB is a digital solution to streamline the flow of information and decision-making.

How does it work
  • The provincial departments create a working paper regarding the PSB with the names of the officers, their ACRs, relevant seniority lists and remarks, as well as the required rules etc to the PSB wing of the establishment department. Incomplete cases are reverted to the provincial departments for rectification.
  • The SO PSB forwards the complete cases to the regulation wing for review.
  • The cases declared fit by the regulation department is forwarded to the PSB for review.
  • The PSB either grants or denies the employee in question a promotion based on the conclusion of the review. The minutes of the meeting is issued followed by a formal notification.
  • The employee is intimated through SMS and the KP employees portal.
